Welcome to our Story
My name is Joshua Phillips,
In 1999, I started out working for small contractors, mostly custom home builders. When my first child came about in 2005, I went to work at California State Universities as a maintenance mechanic. The work at CSU’s gave me a lot of experience in all types of trades, finished university courses, and earned my General Contractors License (2007).
Since getting my Contractors License in 2007, I have worked on all sorts of projects and over the years developed standards to build better structures. I’ve built Auto Dealerships, Remodeled Retail Stores, Built Homes, and ADU’s, among many other projects and curated specialty details. The most enjoyable work for me generally came from more detailed projects.
In 2023, I started relationships with various manufacturers to provide excellent garage spaces. We started with NewAge cabinets and now also are a partner with ProSlat, Grid Lite, and epoxy coating manufacturers with the goal of expanding our network of manufactures over 2024-2025 to provide comprehensive solutions to our customers. There were not many options for my customers in regards to the garage space, so we created one. We can take an empty garage without drywall and turn it into a air conditioned space that’s useful and focused on the client's needs. I went looking for good products that fit a variety of budgets that could stand up to heavy use and look great.
I receive most of my work through word of mouth. In the past year, I have started taking photos and intend on posting online and/or social media. While it has been a point of pride to be busy without any promotion, I realized there could be customers I would really enjoy working for who I may never connect with unless I start promoting my business. Thus far, even on the small scale of outreach we started, I have met and worked for some amazing people and can’t wait to see what comes next.
I focus on building a high quality structure and systems. Working in this way means decades of good and comfortable living for our clients, and easy upgrades available years after initial build, and with proper maintenance, the structure will be long lasting.
I love working on construction projects and I love doing them well. Please contact me with any project ideas you have. I would be happy to walk you through the process.
