Financing Your Build in Riverside, CA | JJ. Builders

Financing Your Build in Riverside & the Inland Empire

Knowing what your project costs is half the question. The other half is how you'll pay for it. JJ. Builders is an approved builder with United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM), so if you're financing a new build, the lender has already vetted who's building your home.

What Does It Mean That JJ. Builders Is UWM-Approved?

Before UWM approves a builder for its construction loans, it reviews the builder’s licensing, credentials and past work. JJ. Builders went through that review and was approved.

For you, that means two things:

How Do Homeowners Pay for a Build or Remodel?

It depends on the project and the equity in your home. The most common paths we see:
  • Building a new home: a one-time-close construction loan covers the build and becomes your mortgage when the home is finished. One application, one closing.
  • Additions and remodels: many homeowners use a home equity line of credit (HELOC) or a cash-out refinance.
  • ADUs: see our full guide, ADU Financing in California, for grants, HELOCs and construction loans.
  • Larger custom homes: projects above standard loan limits often pair a construction loan with a larger down payment or a jumbo loan.
UWM lends through independent mortgage brokers, not directly to homeowners. A licensed mortgage professional can tell you what you qualify for.
